Vacuum Insulated Food Jars

A: Please try making a paste with baking soda and water, apply it on the rubber gaskets and allow it to dry. Once dry wash the rubber gaskets thoroughly.
A: This can happen if the gasket is installed incorrectly. Please check that the stopper packing is placed at the bottom of the stopper.
A: When the food jar is filled with hot foods, the drop in temperature as the food cools creates pressure that may cause the lid to be a little harder to remove than usual. The lids on Zojirushi food jars have been engineered to relieve this pressure. While opening the lids for the SW-K series food jars, you may feel slight resistance when opening it. This is the lid automatically relieving the pressure as you open the lid. In the case of all other models, a small release valve is integrated into the lid. To ease the opening process, simply take a toothpick and gently push the valve to release the pressure, allowing the lid to open smoothly.

A: The food jar and all its components are not dishwasher safe. We recommend handwashing them with a mild dishwashing liquid and a soft sponge and letting them fully dry before their next use. For detailed instructions on how to care for your Zojirushi food jar, please refer to the instruction manual.
A: Replacement parts may be ordered from our online Zojirushi Parts & Accessories page or by calling our Customer Service Department at 800-733-6270, M-F, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST. Please have the model number ready when calling.
