Ingredients (serves 2):
- 1 Tbsp. sencha tea leaves
- 12 fl. oz. hot water (175°F)
Fill Zojirushi water boiler & warmer with water and set temperature to 175°F.
Place sencha tea leaves into the teapot.
When the water temperature reaches 175°F, dispense 12 fl. oz. of the hot water into the teapot. (If using a tea kettle to boil the water, pour the boiled water into the teacup first, then pour that water into the teapot. This will cool the hot water to a suitable temperature.) Allow the tea to brew for 1 to 2 minutes.
Pour tea into each teacup alternately so that the strength of the taste is equal for every cup.
Tea leaves may be used up to three times. For the second infusion, brew for a slightly shorter time, about 40 to 50 seconds. And for the third infusion, brew slightly longer.
