Homemade Yogurt

Zojirushi Recipe – Homemade Yogurt

Homemade yogurt could be difficult to make without the right temperature, but with Zojirushi's Multicooker, the temperature is automatically set, so all you do is measure the ingredient.


            	Homemade Yogurt  Ingredients

Ingredients (10 servings):

  • 2 qt. whole milk (non-homogenized)
  • 1-1/2 cups plain yogurt with active cultures (12 fl. oz.)
  • Fruit, as desired

*This recipe was developed for the Multicooker (EL-CAC60). Adjustments may be necessary when using other models.

Place the pot in the Multicooker main body and set menu to YOGURT.

Add milk. Cover with lid, and press START/CANCEL to start.

When the preheating completion beep sounds approximately 4 hours later, open the lid and remove the curd that formed on the surface of the milk. In a bowl, place yogurt and approximately 2 cups of milk from the pot. Stir well and place the mixture back into the pot. Mix with the remaining milk in the pot.

Cover with lid and press the START/CANCEL button.

When the end beep sounds press the START/CANCEL to end the setting. Allow yogurt to cool to room temperature, transfer to a clean container and store in the refrigerator.

When the yogurt is ready, garnish with fruits as desired.
