We’re so excited to announce our newest coffee maker–the EC-YTC100–which features a stylish and smart thermal carafe. The Zojirushi Fresh Brew Plus Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker (EC-YTC100) brews up to 10 cups of delicious hot coffee, and enough concentrated brew to make up to 5 cups iced coffee, whether at home or at the office. The perfect brew comes from perfect design.

The design reflects in the intelligent features built into the machine. This coffee maker brews coffee using one of two brewing cycles–a regular mode or a Time Saver mode, which delivers hot coffee faster by reducing brewing time. It also features a pre-infusion cycle which evenly wets coffee grounds before brewing at an ideal temperature of 200°F*, thus allowing them to bloom for perfect extraction of flavor and aroma.

The easy-to-fill, removable Water Tank displays two sets of markings–one for brewing hot coffee, and another for brewing iced coffee. The iced coffee markings allow it to adjust the water-to-coffee ratio for stronger coffee that doesn’t taste watered down when poured over ice.

The stainless steel thermal carafe is an outstanding component of this coffee maker, utilizing Zojirushi’s superior vacuum insulation technology to keep coffee hot for hours. Because the vacuum insulation eliminates the need to use a hot plate to keep coffee warm, it doesn’t have the “burnt” flavor that’s caused by excess heating. And best of all, the tapered design with thumb-activated pouring makes serving smooth and easy.

The Fresh Brew Plus Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker was also designed with multiple convenience features. The Swing Basket and Filter Basket are easy to access and fill with ground coffee using the measuring spoon accessory, and they lift out for thorough cleaning. Instead of using disposable paper coffee filters, this machine utilizes a reusable mesh coffee filter made of stainless steel–so easy and eco-friendly! A 24-hour programmable timer with digital clock delays brewing so you can set when you want fresh coffee in the morning, and the sound signal can be switched to mute for quieter operation.

The machine also comes with a Clean Indicator that alerts you when cleaning is recommended. And each of the removable components—Water Tank, Swing Basket, Filter Basket and carafe—are easily cleaned with mild detergent and warm water. The machine’s exterior can be wiped down with a soft damp cloth.

Our large 1-liter capacity Stainless Bottle (SJ-JS10) is here, just in time for spring!

This new bottle is lightweight, compact and strapless, maximizing capacity while minimizing the space it takes up your bag. The twist-off lid functions as a standalone cup and lets you drink hot or cold liquids like you would in a teacup or mug, and conveniently allows you to let your beverage cool or warm to the temperature of your preference. The inner surface of the bottle utilizes an innovative double nonstick coating to enhance durability and provides greater protection of the stainless steel against salt-containing beverages like sports drinks.

Along with these unique features, this Stainless Bottle is made with high-quality, durable 18/8 stainless steel, and utilizes Zojirushi’s superior vacuum insulation technology. The air between the outer and inner layers of the stainless steel is removed so the heat is blocked from transferring through it, greatly minimizing the temperature change of your beverage.

This bottle is smart under the lid, too! It features an advanced stopper with a spout that is opened by a one-touch button, making pouring simple and mess-free. And pressing the close tab seals the spout. The extra-wide mouth accommodates full-sized ice cubes, which makes filling the bottle easy. The stopper and spout, as well as the other areas that come into contact with your beverage, are BPA-free. And as with all Zojirushi products, this bottle can easily be washed with warm water and mild dish detergent.

Product Inspirations – Stainless Steel Food Jars (SW-EAE35/50 and SW-FCE75)

We are so excited to feature our Stainless Steel Food Jars (SW-EAE35/50 and SW-FCE75) this month!

They come packed with practical features and in fantastic new colors!

The food jars provide a convenient, versatile way to enjoy fresh foods on the go, wherever you are, especially when you need to take foods to a location where a refrigerator or microwave may not be readily available. They come in three different sizes, with the SW-EAE model available in 12 and 17 ounce capacities, and the SW-FCE model in a larger 25 ounce capacity.

Each food jar uses Zojirushi’s superior vacuum insulation technology, which keeps hot contents hot, or cold contents cold, for hours. By removing the air between the outer and inner layers of the stainless steel, heat is blocked from transferring through it, greatly minimizing the temperature change of your food or beverage. Dimples on the lid make it easier to grab and open the jar, and the tight-fitted lid with gasket seals to minimize leaks and maximize heat retention.

Like Zojirushi’s other vacuum insulated products, these food jars are made of durable and sanitary 18/8 stainless steel and BPA-free plastic. The interiors utilize an electro-polished SlickSteel® finish that resists corrosion and repels stains, and the large 2 ½ to 2 ¾ inch openings makes it easy to fill and clean, as well as allowing for eating directly out of the jar.

We’re excited to showcase our Travel Mug (SM-YAE48) as our first Product Inspiration of 2018!

This mug is a stylish and convenient way to take your favorite tea, coffee or other beverage with you whenever you’re commuting or on the go. We’ve designed it with travel-friendly features, like a generous 16-ounce capacity, a design that rests more securely in car cup holders and can fit beneath most single cup brewers, and superior vacuum insulation to keep drinks hot or cold for hours.

The exterior comes in four great colors—Lime Green, Cherry Red, Dark Cocoa and Stainless—while the interior features Zojirushi’s SlickSteel® electro-polished stainless steel, which uses an electrically charged polishing process to treat and finish the interior, without adding any nonstick coating. The result is a corrosion resistant surface that repels odors, foreign substances and stains. The wide mouth opening makes it easy to pour liquids into the mug and clean the inside, and the interior fill line markings help to prevent overfilling, which could cause leakage. Plus, all parts that come into contact with your beverage are BPA-free.

The Travel Mug also has an ingeniously crafted lid, with a safety lock that makes it leak-proof, a sipping area that comfortably fits the contours of your face, and an air vent design on the opening which allows for beverages to flow out smoothly. Best of all, the lid gaskets are removeable for easy cleaning!

Product Inspirations – Gourmet Sizzler® Electric Griddle (EA-BDC10) + Takoyaki Plate (EA-YBC01)

Improving our customers’ quality of life through the creation of innovative products remains at the heart of what we do. This founding principle guided our product designers to create one of our favorite appliances – the Gourmet Sizzler® Electric Griddle (EA-BDC10) and the optional Takoyaki Plate (EA-YBC01)!

Our newest griddle exemplifies the style, ease and versatility you’ve come to expect from us. It features a compact, user-friendly size along with even heat distribution for speedy cooking. It also comes with a convenient lid, variable temperature settings and a removable cooking plate made with a diamond-pattern surface which protects the nonstick coating and helps to keep foods from sticking.

The cooking plate is heated to the temperature set using the temperature control plug, which lets you choose between a keep warm temperature of 176°F to a cooking temperature of 400°F. This variable temperature setting makes the griddle versatile enough to cook a range of foods, from breakfast dishes like pancakes to filling dinners like okonomiyaki, yakisoba and burgers. When you use the convenient lid, you can also steam foods like pot stickers, and prevent spills and splatters when you’re grilling meat or making tender stir-fries.

The optional takoyaki plate, which can be purchased separately, makes this griddle even more multipurpose, letting you make 26 large savory takoyaki at a time. If you’ve never had takoyaki, you’re sure to love this iconic Japanese street food. Takoyaki are made with octopus, flour, dashi, eggs and savory seasonings. We’ve posted a great how-to video on our website to help you prepare them!

The Gourmet Sizzler® Electric Griddle comes with numerous other convenience and safety and features. The griddle has a 6.6 foot long power cord that lets you plug it in next to your table, and the cooking plate and heater sit inside a body guard which is designed to help prevent scalding. And the cooking plate won’t heat unless the temperature control plug is correctly installed.

As with most of our products, keeping the griddle clean is simple and straightforward, as the parts assemble and disassemble easily. The cooking plate and body guard can be fully immersed in warm water and mild detergent for cleaning. The exterior simply needs to be wiped down before storage.

With all of these features, we really love using the griddle for breakfast and dinner (and maybe a dessert or two!). All of the ingredients for hearty breakfasts like our Irish Good Morning, which features eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, tomatoes and puddings, can be lined up on the griddle at the same time. No need to use multiple skillets and pans to get breakfast on the table. Complete dinners such as Miso-Marinated Chicken Teppanyaki are savory and simple to make. Just line up marinated chicken with vegetables on the cooking plate, pop on the lid and let the griddle go to work. Dinner can be ready in less than half an hour, and cleanup is simple with only the griddle to worry about. Of course, dessert is always an option, especially when it’s our luscious Chocolate-Chocolate Crepes!
